LED-backlit TV display with Austrian microelectronic LED driver

Austriamicrosystems announced that LG Electronics has introduced a TV model based on the Austrian Microelectronics AS3693A and AS3693B LED Driver ICs at the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

The innovative AS3693 family of products helps to increase the highest contrast of ultra-thin flat panel LCD TVs for superior picture quality. Its patented power-saving technology dynamically adjusts the LED Power Supply to minimize system power consumption. This makes ultra-thin flat panel TV design possible and very energy efficient. In addition, the product line has the industry's best current accuracy of +/- 0.5% for excellent brightness uniformity.
