"HYC500". The characteristic design of an effective heat-dissipating tube on a fan-shaped Heat Sink is adopted.

The Furukawa Electric Industries Co., Ltd. has developed a heat sink new product "HYC500" for 500W lighting LED used in the arena. This is the standard heat sink for the high-power LED "CLU550" from Citizen Electronics. It uses a heat transfer tube that can transfer heat in large volumes to improve heat dissipation. Less than 10% of ordinary cast and extruded heat sinks with the same weight and heat dissipation.

While large LED lighting continues to increase LED output power, the density of heating elements is also increasing through the use of COB (Chip On Board) packages in which LED components are packaged directly on the substrate. The original aluminum castings and extrusion products are used. Already unable to fully dissipate heat.

The new products will be exhibited at the 8th Light-Tech Expo (Tokyo Ariake International Convention & Exhibition Center on January 13-15, 2016) and will be displayed on the lights. (Reporter: Yuno Mako)
